Welcome to Special Hope Network, Jessalin!

We are happy to introduce our newest full-time Special Hope Network staff member to you. Jessalin Elliott will be working toward Special Hope’s sustainability and expansion of our Community Care Center programs located in Lusaka, Zambia.  She has been here in Lusaka for the past few weeks meeting moms and kids, observing in our programs, going to hospitals, clinics, churches, markets, riding minibuses, and doing just about everything possible to get a feel for what it is like to be a child with an intellectual disability in Zambia.

Jess will work from her home in Arlington, Virginia, and will be spending her time meeting donors, researching grants, and searching for new funders.  We are excited to be taking this next step toward longer-term sustainability so that we can predictably expand into new compounds (very poor neighborhoods in very high-density areas of Lusaka).  Jessalin has been photographing and taking videos of all our staff and programs, so you should definitely be watching our website and social media outlets for new pictures in the next few weeks.  She has captured some amazing shots of our kids and moms learning together with our SHN staff.

If you’d like to invite Jessalin to share about Special Hope Network at any event, she will happily come to you.  We are excited to see what God does through her, and look forward to having each of you meet her in the coming months.  Please join us in welcoming Jessalin as our newest staff member, and we’d welcome your prayers for her.

To contact Jessalin, please email her at jessalin@specialhopenetwork.org, and she will respond to your interest or inquiry.
