Though our Community Care Centers offer local and consistent support to neighborhoods around Lusaka, they do not provide for the long-term needs some children and adults with disabilities face. When a parent dies or is unable to care for a child, there is currently nowhere for that child to go. If a child lives to be an adult, there are so few options for them to be a part of their society.
Special Hope is currently working to provide a place for these kids and adults to live and thrive. Special Hope Village will consist of an orphanage, school, clinic and adult-residential facility. It will also function as the central training site for Special Hope, with dormitories for short and long-term stay. Stay tuned for the launch of the Special Hope Village website, and for news on how you can be a part of this project.
